Jane Arrington Gym and Aquatic Center. We have been thrilled to hear how
many of our residents are loving this incredible new amenity. The pool offers
25-meter swim lanes, 12-foot diving wells, two diving boards and handicap
lifts. The sports complex, which boasts 16-thousand square feet of space,
offers restrooms and a locker room for those using the pool as well as a gym,
meeting rooms and a warming kitchen. Outside features include a fitness trail
around the pond, a multi-use lawn for sports and outdoor activities, a movie
lawn and an outdoor pavilion. This state-of-the-art facility is also being used
by students who attend schools with no gym or pool, allowing them to finally
have a full physical education experience. Additionally, we are thrilled that
athletes involved with the Special Olympics have also been able to use the
facility for practices and meets. Previously, these athletes would have to travel
more than 30 miles to the nearest practice facility. Our Osceola Country
Fire Rescue team has also been able to use the pool to train for underwater
rescues. We are so thrilled by all of this great news and wonderful uses of our
new facility!
The project to build the park included a budget of more than $8 million with
approximately $5 million in community block grant funding. APV will also
contribute $3.2 million back to
Osceola County.
If you have not yet had a chance
to check out the new renovations,
you definitely should soon! We
are so proud of this incredible
new park and look forward to
having our residents enjoy it for
years to come.
ance Harmon Park Now
Owned by the Association
of Poinciana Villages
It’s been a wonderful few
weeks celebrating the opening
of Phase II of Vance Harmon
Park! Now we are excited
to inform residents that the park deed has officially been transferred back to
the Association of Poinciana Villages. That means our residents now own
that gorgeous park! We have enjoyed a wonderful partnership with Osceola
County in renovating and revitalizing this wonderful piece of property and
now we are excited to have it back under APV ownership and management.
With the addition of Vance Harmon Park, APV’s has increased its assets by
more than $8 million. All of
these assets, plus improvements
and renovations continually being
made to the community property,
are helping to increase our home
and property values.
We hope everyone has had the
chance to get out and enjoy the
new park. The latest renovations
were made to the football and softball fields, plus we added two new outdoor
basketball courts, two playgrounds, a dog park and an amphitheater. Starting
this summer, everyone can enjoy music and entertainment on the stage of the
beautiful amphitheater as APV starts its “Concerts in the Park” series. In April,
APV LifeStyles hosted
its first of many “Movies
under the Stars” events.
