Get Ready Poinciana

here’s always something fun happening in Poinciana. The past
few weeks have brought our community several extraordinary
events, including our rst ever Community Workshop, our annual
Memorial Day Celebration, the Poinciana Community Outreach
Festival, and the Summer Splash. For those of you who were not able
to join us, we wanted to share a recap of these recent great events.
APV’s Inaugural Community Workshop
The Association of Poinciana Villages’ Community Service Department
held Poinciana’s rst-ever Community Workshop on Tuesday, May
21 at The Anthony DePalma Center. Attendees had the opportunity
to meet our awesome Community Service Department staff, learned
how to save money while also increasing their property value, and
received special tips and tricks for maintaining and improving their
homes. Additional topics covered during this workshop included
violations, the ning committee and what to do if you receive a
violation, as well as an overview of APV’s Deed of Restrictions.
As a special treat, industry professionals from several well-known
companies were at the meeting, including representatives from
Sherwin-Williams, Lowe’s Home Improvement, Momentum Solar, ,
RE/MAX Pioneer, and Performance Roo ng. Many of these generous
companies also raf ed off incredible door prizes.
Memorial Day Ceremony and Movie Under the Stars
Several Poinciana residents and their friends gathered at APV’s
annual Memorial Day Ceremony on Friday, May 24 to honor our
country’s fallen heroes and recognize those who made the ultimate
sacri ce to defend our liberties. This free, family-friendly event
featured a Presentation of Colors by the Osceola County Sheriff’s

Into Summer at Recent Events
Department , a guest speaker from the Museum of Military History, as
well as Taps and a 21 Gun Salute performed by the Osceola County
Veteran’s Council.
Immediately following the ceremony, attendees were invited to stay at
the park and enjoy a movie under the stars. The feature presentation
was the highly-popular “How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden
World.”
Poinciana Community Outreach Festival
On Saturday, June 1, Osceola County Sheriff Russ Gibson and the
Osceola County Sheriff’s Of ce hosted a Poinciana Community
Outreach Festival at the Mary Jane Arrington Aquatics Center. This
day of fun for the whole family was an opportunity for community
outreach, fellowship and education. This event served as a great
opportunity for everyone in Poinciana to meet Sheriff Gibson and his
team – all while enjoying fun activities for all ages.
APV Summer Splash
In order to cool down from the recently warmer temperatures outside,
Poinciana residents and their guests joined us on June 8 at APV’s
Summer Splash, held at the Poinciana Community Center pool. Event
attendees splashed into summer with the ultimate pool party, complete
with a DJ, games, prizes, and of course – swimming!

SPECIAL EDITION ALERT
Beginning in the July 1st edition of the Poinciana Pioneer, the Association of Poinciana Villages will be running
a series of legal updates regarding lawsuits initiated by several residents of Poinciana since 2015.
