T
he skies over Poinciana were lled with an electrifying display of lights and sounds
on Saturday, June 30th as we celebrated Independence Day with a bang! The
Association of Poinciana Villages marked the end of the rst half of 2018 with
one of our community’s largest events of the year, the highly-popular Fireworks
Spectacular. And, just as in years past, the event lived up to its “spectacular”
name with everything from bounce houses, food trucks, and live entertainment
provided by N Fusion, to a large-scale reworks display put on by the
incredible national talents of Pyrotecnico.
More than 1,500 Poinciana residents and guests attended the family-
friendly event, which was held at the amazing Vance Harmon Park
Amphitheater, to celebrate our independence. Events, such as the Fireworks
Spectacular, are just one of the many ways residents and visitors can enjoy
the newly renovated Vance Harmon Park and its incredible facilities.
Event attendees clapped and sang along to the music of N Fusion, a band
famous for their large repertoire of every genre of music. The group also
holds regular performances at events for Universal Studios and Disney
Parks. And, the talented Carol Saragusa, an actress at Walt Disney World,
served as the event emcee.
The most anticipated part of the evening’s festivities was Pyrotecnico’s
professional reworks show. Community members were dazzled by the
performance. Cheers were almost as loud as the reworks! We want
to thank Pyrotechnico for another year of the most amazing reworks.
Spectators declared they were as good if not better than at the theme parks
or the Daytona Speedways July 4th celebration.
“We loved watching everyone enjoy the live entertainment and fun activities
throughout the event, and especially the excitement on their faces during the
dazzling reworks show,” said Mark Maldonado, APV General Manager.
“Each year this event continues to grow and get better, and we look forward
to welcoming residents and the public to this annual celebration for many
years to come.”
Thanks to the generous support of our corporate and community sponsors,
APV is able to provide admission to these events at no cost to attendees.
Those sponsors include: New Homes Innovation Group, LLC, CenturyLink,
Poinciana Medical Center, Larsen and Associates, FirstService Residential,
Merali Homes at Tuscany Preserve and Valencia College. We would also
like to thank the Association of Poinciana Villages Board of Directors and
our LifeStyles Team for coordinating and executing such a remarkable event.
One of our main goals of the LifeStyles Department at the Association of
Poinciana Villages is to provide events and programs that bring together
members of our community in the spirit of fun, building new friendships and
nurturing old ones. We have many additional events, activities and programs
planned for the second half of 2018 that we can’t wait to share with you. Stay
tuned to upcoming e-blasts and the APV social media pages for more details.
