Is your home one of the best in
Poinciana? Let us know
The Poinciana Beautiful program first launched in 2016 with great interest
and participation from hundreds of residents in our community. We hope to
see even more of you participate this year!
D
o you think you have the best looking house on your street? Are your
neighbors constantly complimenting your yard? Or, do you wish you could
have bragging rights as one of the nicest looking homes in Poinciana? The
Association of Poinciana Villages is looking for residents to enter their homes to
complete in the third Annual Poinciana Beautiful Awards.
This community-wide home beautification program honors homeowners who
do an exceptional job of maintaining their property. APV residents have
until Friday, November 30, 2018 at 5 p.m. to submit an entry.
Those who are interested in entering can send a picture of
the complete front of their home, including landscaping, to
Ivonne Martinez at
Entries can also
be sent to The Association of Poinciana Villages, Poinciana
Beautiful, 401Walnut Street, Poinciana, FL 34759.
Do you want to enter but need help to fix up your home
first? We have a solution for that! The APV staff has started
a new Pinterest board with easy landscaping ideas to help
transform your yard. We also encourage everyone to visit
with the Master Gardener from the University of Florida, who
is happy to answer your gardening and landscaping questions
every Thursday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Mary Jane Arrington
Gym and Aquatic Center.
Winners and finalists of the 2018 Poinciana Beautiful Awards we will
be honored at a special gala in January. One homeowner from each
participating village will be selected as a winner, with each winning
household receiving a beautiful plaque, a year-long family membership to
the APV community pool, and a sign to place in their yard for the
year – letting all of your neighbors know that you have the best home in
your village!
The best part of the competition is that we are all winners when we help
make our neighborhood the best it can be. The improvements being made
and maintenance being performed in our community also help to increase
property values, increase sales and encourage developers and businesses
to consider the community as a place to successfully invest. As we reported
earlier this year, recent reports from our local Multiple Listing Service (MLS)
show that property values have significantly increased in our area - 53.28%
over the past 5 years.
“One of the top priorities of APV’s Board of Directors, the entire staff and
FirstService Residential is to continue to make Poinciana one of the best places
to live in Central Florida. Programs like the Poinciana Beautiful Awards are
just one of the many ways we are constantly working on improving and
enhancing our amazing neighborhood.” Says Mark Maldonado LCAM and
General Manager of the Association of Poinciana Villages.
